St Paul's C of E Primary School

St Pauls Church of England Gloucester

Caring and nurturing

At St Paul’s, we aim to make provision for any support that will ‘Make a Difference to Everyone’ and improve outcomes for our whole school community.

There is no set formula or exhaustive list of things that we do, as we support the needs of our community through a flexible, fluid approach. This is because we recognise that each person and family’s needs are unique. Instead, as a school, we “walk hand in hand” with our staff, parents, pupils and community partners so that we get to know everyone as an individual, gaining an understanding of their life so that we can provide care, guidance and support that is tailor made.

Family Support

Children learn best when they feel safe, secure and happy. However, children occasionally have worries or feel upset about something and at St. Paul’s, we pride ourselves in supporting children’s emotional needs and those of our families.

Sharon Williams, our pastoral supportworker is here to support you in whatever way possible. She is a qualified counsellor and is able to support you and your child through a range of difficult times, including family separation, death of loved one, issues surrounding school.

Sharon is able to attend meetings to support parents and has been known to call for children whose parents find it difficult for whatever reason to get them to school.

She also hosts regular coffee mornings and parent groups which encourage parents and children to work together, and arranges away days throughout the long school holidays.

Sharon is here to help you – so if you need help please ask.

At St Paul’s we will do everything we possibly can to help your child to achieve their full potential and to enjoy the time they spend with us.

On-line Safety and Internet Safety

Parent Info is a new free service for schools.

Here you'll find a collection of articles, tips, expert advice and resources designed to help parents keep up with what their children are doing on-line. Schools are welcome to subscribe to a feed for their own websites and use the content as they wish.

Parent Info is a collaboration between Parent Zone which has been providing information and support to parents for a decade, and CEOP, the Child Exploitation and Online Protection command of the National Crime Agency.
